WORK DUE TUESDAY

Finish reading "Conflict and Change in Eastern Europe."   Note: the second page was copied twice - remove it - you only have one section to read and highlight on page 30!   Review pages 26-29 and finish reading page 30.  Focus on what happened in each country after the collapse of the Soviet Union.  In your notebook (use a clean sheet of paper – this will be collected),  summarize events that took place in the following countries.

You may provide information in bullet form or sentence form – as long as you understand what you write down and why!

• Create a T-Chart or a Venn diagram to COMPARE and CONTRAST any two countries you have read about.  Be sure to include and compare facts about what happened to each country's

• economic system
• society and people
• leaders
• alliances with other nations

REMEMBER:  Quiz retakes begin on Monday.  You may come in during a free period or stay after school.  You have until Friday to retake the quiz on the geography of Europe.
