NOTE: The UN has cancelled our briefing due to a conflict with our venue (meeting space). This also means no cafeteria lunch. Bring a snack for the bus.
Schedule: Go to your period 1 class. Meet in the front of the building at 7:45am.Depart DHS 8:00 am – Arrive NYC by 10:00 amUN - 10:00 - 11:00 - Photo Op, Explore outside plaza,11:00 - Security check (1/2 hr) Guided Tour of UN - 11:30 - 12:30 12:30 -1:20 - Special Exhibits and Gift Shop 1:45 – 3:45 Rockefeller Center, free time (rink is open, visit the website for fee information) 4:00 - Depart NYC, return by DHS 6:00pm
Note:
Lunch and any activities at Rockefeller
Center are out of pocket expenses – field trip fee covers the bus and tour of
the UN. You may choose to bring your own
lunch, but will not be able to bring it into the UN. You will be able to eat on the bus at 1:30.
